Phase 1 PoC - Clinical and Translational Science Publication

We are thrilled to share exciting news from STAT Therapeutics about publication of our proof  of concept clinical study!

Our clinical study evaluating a new approach to intramuscular (IM) drug delivery—designed  specifically to support safe, effective administration by laypersons—has now been officially published in Clinical and Translational Science.

This paper highlights a key finding from our research:

IM injection into the posterior forearm muscle achieves drug exposure comparable to IM injection in the thigh, a current standard IM site.

Why this matters:

For many emergency or at-home medications, IM injection creates barriers for real-world use — especially for untrained individuals. Our work demonstrates a pathway toward simpler, more intuitive, and more accessible IM drug administration.

This publication marks an important milestone for our development of a novel, user-friendly IM drug-device combination product. We believe this work can help broaden access and expand the settings where lifesaving and life-improving IM medications can be given.

A huge thank-you to our collaborators, investigators, and the STAT Therapeutics team for pushing this research forward.

We’re excited to continue advancing innovations that make drug delivery safer and more accessible for everyone.
